The flower of daisy, is not a single flower, but a capitulum carrying very many flowers. The flowers of the circumference, which have the aspect of petals, are female or sterile flowers, those of the center, yellow, formed of 5 welded petals are hermaphrodites or male. The leaves are edible raw, they have a light taste of hazelnut, a little peppered but develop a pungent aftertaste.
